Terms of Service

1. The service

shotanvil, operated by Psyke Tech Ltd. (Sofia, Bulgaria), is a screenshot and web-rendering API: you send us a URL or HTML and we return a PNG, JPEG, WEBP, or PDF. By using shotanvil.com or the shotanvil API, you agree to these terms.

2. Plans, billing, and overage

The Free plan (1,000 screenshots/mo) requires no card and is permanent, not a trial. Paid plans are billed monthly through our payment provider, acting as merchant of record. Going over your monthly quota is metered overage — we never hard-stop your service or force an upgrade mid-month.

AI agents may instead pay per call via the x402 protocol, with no account or signup required.

3. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a paid plan yourself at any time, self-serve, with no email or retention call required. If you cancel within the first 30 days of a paid plan, we'll issue a full refund, no questions asked.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use shotanvil to:

• Render or distribute illegal content
• Attempt to overwhelm, abuse, or disrupt the service (denial-of-service, credential stuffing, etc.)
• Circumvent rate limits, quotas, or the security controls that protect the service or third-party sites (e.g. our SSRF guard)
• Use the API to build a competing screenshot/rendering service by directly reselling raw access

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

5. Data and content

You're responsible for having the right to request a screenshot of the URLs or HTML you submit. We do not retain the screenshots or PDFs we generate — see our Privacy Policy for details on what we do keep and why.

6. Service availability

We work to keep shotanvil reliable but don't currently guarantee a specific uptime commitment. The service is provided "as is" and "as available."

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, shotanvil's total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria and the EU.
